PCR Biosystems Exhibition: Celebrating World Environment Day on 5th June 2024
On 5th June 2024, in celebration of World Environment Day, the Sir William Dunn School of Pathology hosted a PCR Biosystems Exhibition, organized by Clémence Levet of the Green Group. This event was a key part of the school's efforts to promote sustainable practices and environmental awareness within the scientific community.
The exhibition, held in the school's Combination Room, showcased PCR Biosystems' commitment to supporting green initiatives. Attendees had the opportunity to explore the company's range of sustainable products and learn how these innovations could contribute to more environmentally friendly research practices.
As part of the celebration, PCR Biosystems made a generous donation to the Green Group, specifically to fund the purchase and refill of SESI products across the Dunn School. SESI products, renowned for their eco-friendly attributes and ethical sourcing, were selected to encourage the reduction of single-use plastics within the school. This contribution underscored the collective effort to integrate sustainable practices into everyday laboratory work.
The event not only provided a platform for scientists to engage with PCR Biosystems representatives but also reinforced the importance of adopting green alternatives in research. By organizing and supporting such initiatives, the Dunn School, along with PCR Biosystems, demonstrated a strong commitment to environmental stewardship and the global movement towards sustainability.
