Eco-Cycling: Monthly Bike Doctor Sessions

Bike Doctor at the Dunn School

When & Where
Join us on the second Thursday of every month from 10:00–17:00 at the Sir William Dunn School of Pathology, South Parks Road, Oxford, OX1 3RE.

Is Your Bicycle in Need of Repair?

Don’t let bike problems prevent you from choosing sustainable travel. Bring your bicycle to the Bike Doctor sessions at the Dunn School, where experienced mechanics will help restore it to good working condition.

Looking for a Sustainable Ride?

A selection of refurbished second-hand bicycles is also available. These bikes, recovered from around Oxford, are fully serviced and include a three-month warranty. Prices typically range from £100 to £280, providing an affordable and environmentally friendly commuting option.

What We Offer

  • Comprehensive servicing using a fully equipped mobile workshop

  • Cost-effective repairs — users only pay for replacement parts

  • Same-day turnaround wherever possible, operating on a first-come, first-served basis

  • Exclusive access for University of Oxford staff and Dunn School graduate students (University card required for ID verification)

Collaboration

This initiative is made possible through collaboration between Walton Street Cycles, the Dunn School Green Group, and the University of Oxford Sustainability Team. Special thanks go to Helly Worsdell for supporting the organisation and promotion of the sessions.

Our Vision

Through the Bike Doctor sessions and related sustainability initiatives, we aim to promote a stronger cycling culture within the University community, encourage sustainable commuting choices, support healthier lifestyles, and contribute to reducing carbon emissions.
